interesting mate but i assure you cacace can hit ask any of the guys that sparred him or boxed him before he joined holy trinity, he could really bang but when he went to holy trinity he learned to move more and box to the amateur scoring system! hes been out of the game a while so id like to see how he goes ! best of luck to him
10,000 for the Odyssey and 6,500 for the Kings Hall. Duddy/Eastman got 6,500 in the Hall and the atmosphere that night was unreal, the best since McGuigan. That's encouraging to hear, we know Cacace has an abundance of skill and is huge for the weight if he is going to box at 9st 4lb [super-feather],so if the power is there as your saying then we could have a decent prospect on our hands here. One of the question marks for any kid turning pro is how hard they can hit, and in todays amatuer system that's not always obvious with certain boxers, but that wasn't always the case as years ago you could near enough tell before the transistion from amateur or pro even occured. IMO the amateur sport needs to get back to that. When you look at the empty stadiums around the world as major amateur tournaments are occuring, you got to realise something is wrong with this system, as 20,30,40 years ago these stadiums would have been full from the prelims to the finals. The 3x3rds and WSB is redressing that and making the sport more exciting to watch again. But it's not enough, and I hope one day to see the computer systems abandoned and the judging going back to the old system [without the corruptness ] when a knock down or standing count meant something and the sport was more spectator friendly. Wayne McCullough will be live from Las Vegas on iTalksport on Sunday morning at 11.30am on Setanta Ireland. BTW, who is all going to Martinez v Macklin next month and are there any plans for an eastside beer or two in New York?
Think so he will be too big and quick i believe, Lee doesnt have that major punch that can stop JJ in his tracks so i see Mc Donagh winning a wide if competitive points decision.
