suits him down to the ground doesn't it lol hayemaker is a very exciting promotional company and with it's connections to golden boypromotions it has the potential to be the biggest management company in the uk,with both fighters pedigree at amateur level they will go far in the business and i would be confident at egan's ability to reach the top,he ahs alot of power of some very nice power whiel darren's tyle suits the pro game perfectly, for darren there are alot of very reputable fighters at his weight in the uk and he should gain alot of experience should he move to england,you never know his pro debut could be the haye bill at the odyssey!

that p4p list posted,very very generous to ***an,duddy and dunne (they say dunne has robust power and could become WC in the sbw division?sincerely doubt it) ***an has proved very little and doesn't deserve to be above paul, duddy still has alot of work and isn't having the fights he should be, and come on john get out of the pubs and back into training, if he has a fight in november why is it i keep talking to him in the pubs in derry!and why did he buy my girl a drink last saturday night ... i'd take him down with that leaky defence of his!lee's performance over gibbs was one of the most polished by an irish fighter in recent times and stands him in very good stead for the future,but once again he needs fights, **** it every irish fighter needs fights at the minute!you could never have guessed the impact dunne losing would have on the boxing scene as a whole here!

and ffs brian peter's i know it costs more to bring a fight to the north but put a fight on in belfast with any of our top boys and it sells out!

 

He needs to start announcing some fights anywhere, period. I was expecting at least one Brian Peters Promotion in October. Thats clearly not going to happen now.And whats happened to Tommy Egan with his grand plans to bring BIGTIME BOXING to TV3, that seems to have died a death.atsch

 

Yeah robust power in both hands regarding Dunne is a bit ****ing stupid. The lad that wrote the piece is obviously going on hearsay or something or maybe he is even having a stab in the dark.

Anyway, I do think Dunne has the skills nessecary to win a title but he just hasn't kept busy enough for my liking. I don't think the desire is there. To have only fought twice in the last 12 months when he desperately needed to get his career back on track was a big mistake. If he has aspirations of world title shots then he should be doing more. If he is going to stick at EBU level then fair enough.

I agree about the impact his loss had on Irish boxing though. Like it or not Dunne and Peters ressurected boxing in this country. After the Dunne loss things seemed to spiral out of control. Lee dropped a stupid loss to Vera. And although he had a good comeback win against Gibbs there is no follow up to it! Duddy got cut to ribbons against Smichet. Even the impressive looking (up to a point) McCloskey had a shocker against Wright.

All the Irish boys are inactive now. They only ones fighting regularly are the Hylands and, lets face it, none of them is up to EBU standard even. There seems to be a bit of a lethargy with all our better boxers.

Dunne - allegedly fighting on the November 15 - nothing confirmed (would be 4 months between fights)

Duddy - allegedly fighting on November 6 - nothing confirmed (would be 5 months between fights)

Lee - nothing on the radar and not a mention of anything - (2 and half months since his last fight)

McCloskey - nothing on the radar and not a mention of anything - (2 and half months since his last fight)

It's a pretty frustrating time to be an Irish boxing fan and it shouldn't be. We've never had such a good spread of boxers capable of winning legitimate titles (although at varying levels) but they all seem to be waiting around too much.

 

I've seen that before, but ***an at #3 :roll:....... and 'one of the best Light-Welterweights in the World' ?, well he's actually a Lightweight and in truth he's not a top 50 guy. That's not meant to put down ***an btw, he's as hard working a guy in the ring as you will ever see and he has made the very best of the tools he has, especially for someone with such a short amateur career.

But lets get things straight, Andrew Murray would be a favourite against him.
'Because of his all-action, come-forward style, he stands a chance against any 140 pounder in the world', this surely has to be wrote by a personal from of ***an because I doubt Oisín himself would even write stuff like this.
***an is an honest lad and knows that he's around USBA/NABF/NABO/NABA level. McCloskey who is two places lower on that list would work him over.

 

Cant argue with any of that the boy has alot of heart and thats how he got where he was Oisin has always said hes not the best boxer in the world.

i heard that big time boxing is returning in febuaray in castlebar.

 

don't know how lee can justifiably be ranked above duddy as of yet?he's beaten better opposition,he ranked higher,has more wins,has never lost,has showed greater fight backs from adversity and plain has been in some great wars.

duddy's wins over campas,eastman,pierre and bonsante is better than anything lee has done as of yet

 

duddy and irish ropes...dont seemed 2 no...if there coming r going...the more i read about irish ropes...the more i realise...what a ****-up of an organisation they r...they could have had duddy fighting in front of 7000 in belfast...and on live tv...but decide to get him a fight in front of maybe 1000 r 1500 punters tucked away on a obscure location...with not much media interest...what a stupid shower of ****s they ratsch:good
