Shane Mcguigan ko'd Ferrin in the semis of the ulster seniors a few years back. Around 2008 i'd guess. This is the winning punch as far as I can gather

Fair play to Hearn for adding Conlan to the lineup as well. He's really pushing the boat out, when you consider his outlay for the evening: Prizefighter costs £80k (4x£4k, 2x£8k, 1x£16k, 1x£32) McC, Diaz, Lindsay, Lindsay's punchbag, Conlan, Conlan's punchbag. Hopefully Conlan will be fighting for a British or Commonwealth title on the undercard of the planned Frampton bill :good

Im just after finding the Steve Collins vs Reggie Johnson on youtube lads, which was Collins second tilt at a world title. It was some class brawl, if a little foul filled. Both men showing good chin and heart. Steve could take some punishment so he could! I scored it a draw, but I could see how it could have went to either man:good [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_7uXIeFfA8[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ef37Gr7f8dQ&feature=relmfu[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZoicCMIm5A&feature=relmfu[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdRwiVdyC7g&feature=relmfu[/ame]
Watched it recently too and loved it, also could score it either way, Collins is very underrated, he mixed it for longer and with more World class fighters than any Irishman in nearly 100 years.
Yeah, and the thing is this fight came only a year after Johnson was robbed of a decision by James Toney. Johnson had Toney down and should won a fairly clear decision imo. Collins gave Johnson a more competitive fight than Toney did:deal
