I have to admit I dont know enough about this team of young boxers to give an opinion on there medal chances, but it will be interesting watching how they go.
I feel the need to congratulate a young lad from my club St Bronagh's Rostrevor. Declan Trainor won the heavyweight title at the Antrim intermediates on Friday. He's a two time National Champion (schoolboy and U19) and should be big noise at the seniors when he enters for the first time this year.
He's beaten some good lads already, notably Ciaran McAuley and Ulster senior Champion Shane Curran so he has some serious pedigree. Still only 20 years old. 6'2" and lean as hell. Id say he is value for the Ulster Senior Title this year, not sure about the All Ireland's just yet, but definitely within the next two or three years.

I read in the western people last week that michael sweeney is flying out to philly this week for a five day training camp in joe frazier's gym on banner promotion's head art pellulo's invitation. This could be a big chance for sweeney as pellulo is a huge promoter.
sweeney has showed good progress...and has lost weight lately...i hope things work out 4 him stateside:good
hes not that bad is he?...i think i seen him box on bbc a few years back...he looked ok....but had no punch...he must b around 30 r more now...:good
