    Hill is a police officer in St. Louis and a journeyman fighter. A few years back he beat a severely faded David Reid, knocking him down with a jab, but that was more a function of Reid being utterly shot than it was Hill having any skill.

    Frankly, it's not much of a step up for Duddy. His management probably realizes he just isn't a championship caliber fighter and doesn't want to risk him yet against a live body. You gotta do it sometime, though.

    I know its a warm up fight but John fights Hearns on HBO in January. Then the plan is a world title fight at 154lbs on the 15 March at the Garden.

    Ah, ok. I haven't been following boxing news lately. Which version of the jr. middle belt?

    I think Irish Ropes are targeting Verno Philips IBF belt. There was was also talk of a fight with Mora, but Forest spanked him lately. Duddy with all his defensive flaws is a marketable guy. A world title fight around ST Pats day will be big business in NYC.:yep

    Cliff couser pulled out of the killarney bill, hopefully they can find a good replacement on such short notice.

    thats a bad blow for that show...perez needs a decent opponent...no one wants 2c another 20sec blastout like what happened in cork:good

    Great news that Darren will be fighting in Dublin. I will be be first in line for my ticket when they come out next week.:bbb:bbb

    Maloney is a good promoter and should be able to bring along sutherland right. Hopefully he will be kept active.
