Just back from Belfast was a good night Rogie gave it his all ,before the first kd I was half thinking he might do it .Havnt a clue how much he would have made last night but hope he hangs up the gloves now he didn't do half bad in the sport for the age he began
Nice to hear that the 2 am lads won there fights today. Hopefully there will be a few more places on the plane to London for the boxers.
I think this is right. Almost all national titles are ten rounds, The British title is a international title as it is four nations.
Walsh claimed that one of the judges commented to somebody a while back that if he was a judge in 1 of hie fights he would rob him. Thats his words on facebook
Great start for Ireland in the Olympic qualifiers http://www.irish-boxing.com/2012/04/great-start-for-ireland-in-olympic-qualifiers/
Is anyone slightly concerned that Ward is against Bahran Muzaffer who is from Turkey in the next round? Especially if it is close!
Joe seems to turn on the style when he wants/needs to. He took his eye off the ball once over the last few years, against Iran at the worlds - and still nearly pulled that fight back (winning the last round by 4 points). I'm sure the coaches will have it well drilled into his head this time that if he doesn't control the fight he might get robbed. In my opinion, Joe won't allow it to be close
That's very disappointing. I really think he's a great boxer and he won a weight in the seniors which consists of both Moylette and Sutcliffe - no mean feat! But then again he lost comfortably a few weeks back too in the chemistry cup. A real pity, cos I think he's very good
