You choose to ignore my post and yet respond to his. Chavez did in fact provide a urine sample after the fight. Dan Rafael, a very credible reporter from ESPN confirmed this.

First, I know Leonard (slapbangwhallop) to be an excellent journalist and don't know you at all. Second, Dan Rafael did not report this. He tweeted that he was "told" that Chavez had pissed before the fight. HBO reported that he hadn't. Weird, yes? Why would HBO lie? Finally, why the **** would you care if I ignored your post?

    Fighters often put on 10-15lbs.

20 is on the high side, but it isnt unrealistic either.

Andy himself probably put on 10lbs after the weigh in (theres about 36 hours between weigh in and fight)

Hatton would often come in around 155,having weighed in at 140.
Clottey was known to put on OVER 20lbs between weigh in and fight and he fought at a lower weight!

Victor Ortiz put on 17lbs in between weighing in anf fighting Floyd.

    Its really not that uncommon.

Tell that to the Scots lad, McEwan. Andy's clean shots hurt him badly, but had no effect on Chavez whatsoever. Those Chavezes just must be genetically programmed to withstand more than other human humans. Maybe they're mutants or X-Men? Wasn't Chavez found to be dirty before, though?

Seems to defeat the purpose of having a weight limit at all, really. I've heard of fighters drying out to take off a pound or two for weigh in, But (and I take your word for it), I wasn't aware of 10or ,15 pound differential.
So Hatten would weigh in as a welter and fight as a middleweight:nut Wow.

Honestly, when titles are involved there should be a second quick weigh in, at least the morning of the fight. (I always thought that was the policy back in the 70's-8o's and before)
