Looking forward to the Nevin fight now. Also the 91 and 91+ should be a good craic tonight.

Somone explain this **** to me, I don't get betting odds at all.

    Whats 4/11 and 4/7 mean?

4/11 means that if you were to put 11 euro down, you would win 4 back (plus your 11). So to get back 15 euro, you have to wager 11.

Now if it was 11/4, its the other way. You wager 4 to win 11(plus your 4 wager), so you get back 15.

The way bookies look at it are this. If the fight was to happen 15 times (11+4), frampton would win 11 times. Thats the basis of how they compile their odds. But as a punter you dont really have to be concerned with that.

I´m on holidays so I´m well out of the loop. The RTE site won´t load for me. Can someone tell me who´s fighting this evening and roughly what time it´s on. Should be able to catch it at an Irish bar. Sound.

probably an easier way of working things out is to actually divide the odds and multiply by your stake.

So say you want to gamble a tenner on a boxer at odds of 7/2.

Just divide 7 by 2 to get 3.5, and multiply thatby 10. So you winnings will be 35 euro, plus your tenner back.
