Irish Boxing

Thanks I know he fights out of Saint Annes which is in Castlebar, but other than that I have not heard much of him before, but you can bet your house that we will be hearing a lot more of him in the future.

No I can't take credit for the blog I'm afraid! A mate of mine set it up a month or so ago and I contribute to it now and then. He is always on the lookout for new articles, so if anyone has any interesting opinions on Irish boxing give us a shout and you can submit articles to the blog or you can just stop by and leave comments or whatever.

Moylette is from St. Annes WESTPORT and a classy boxer, counter-puncher, lovely tight style with good sharp hooks. Peter, Paul Mullen and Kennedy are the coaches in the club, maybe the beat amature gym in Ireland.

 

For the Bernard Dunne fans, in case anyone is interested,

Ponce De Leon TKO4 Marchiano

Apparently he beat him from pillar to post. I guess thats the difference power makes (although I know De Leon has freakish power for a SBW) at the top level

its an unfair comparison...as u stated yourself...but i always think...that if u have not got the pop in your punches...then u will struggle against the top class fighters...and that might happen 2 dunne....when r if he steps it up next year:good

 

As long as Bernard doesn't hang the left hand low then I don't think he will be target practice for any of the top guys but without the punch power to discourage top class opponents then he will struggle to win fights

 

can i ask...how many of you lads are going to watch dunne in castlebar on the 15th ??

 

ardy....have you seen shane mcguigan box?...hows he looking ??

 

I saw him box Marty Lynch in the prelims. he is a novice aggresive boxer with a big right hand,some vicious body shots and a huge heart.He was roundly outboxed by Lynch for 3 rounds and was lucky imo to be just 4 points down after the third but never gave up landed some big left hooks to the body early in the fourth that hurt the donegal man and then fired in 5 overhand rights and forced two counts to win by a one point margin.His balance isnt great but his punching style should be enough to see him win his first Irish title this friday.

 

how old is he now??....think the next few years is as an amatuer or do you think he'll go pro quickly...and if he did, although probably early to ask this...think he'd be a good pro ??
