Another great day of Irish boxing. Paddy Barnes is an Irish boxing legend. A warrior. And Nevin, well he's made the world stand up and take notice of him. Schooling the world number one, outslicking the Cuban. Doesn't get sweeter than this. Enjoy it lads. :happy

I work with a girl from Mullingar and this is what she sayes. I don't know if it's 100% accurate
Some of the Nevins clan thrashed a pub. The Dinnegans and McDonaghs didn't like this. The Wards are also involved. Complicated Traveller feud. That's the reason why John Joe trains in Cavan. When he won the bronze medal fight John Joe was quite emotional saying he wanted to have his coming in his home town of Mullingar.

Conlan gave it his all, but the Cuban phenom was just too much for him.

Thought Conlan won the second round but obviously the Cuban was a lot better. He's only 18, he's going to be sensational. No shame in losing to him. Conlon is only 20 himself, to win bronze at that age is a fantastic achievement.

Conlon needs stifer punches. A future prospect no doubt.
