Again, my point is that any Irish Boxer (if Frampton is) should be proud to fight for an Irish title. I was using Fury as an example! That was a title he had wanted long before it happened.

The I.A.B.A. is a 32 county organisation.. North or South represent Ireland. Who else was he gonna represent?

Why should they , because its called the "Irish title" ??:huh

What about the "English title" does any English boxer have such an image of pride over this thing ? if it's a good fight then sure otherwise its all bull****.

Tell me this what about the "commonwealth title" known also as the "rainbow belt".

Do the people of Zambia and Tongo fell pride over this thing ? Do the boxers of Sri Lanka display pride over this thing ? If not do you question their nationality ?

I dont know, you'd have to ask them, but I'd imagine they'd be proud to win their national title. And its not just a name, it's the title of Champion of Ireland. I guess Im one of few proud Irishmen on this thing..

There was public gatherings all over the world when he won that title. Every man knows his name in these places :rofl

Kidding aside the "Irish title" is just a belt given out by a private company, you could set one up tomorrow if you wish, it has little signifigance and does not even mean that you are the best in Ireland. The reason the British title is sought after is because there is good competition in a lot of divisions and it has a significant boxing heritage attached to it.

Irish Boxers will leave Ireland in favour of England , thats the reality of the situation and the conclusion of these arguements. Tyson was happy with his Brittish titles untill he got the fear and vacated them to escape. Not just boxers either, didn't Shay Given trade in Ireland For England recently.
