Anyone hear about the Sandy Row BC controversy during the week? Saw it mentioned on facebook in a few places. Looks to be a messy situation. Most people seem to have serious suspicions about the club coach's claims.

hes a joke... very few box at that club... it could throw a spanner in the works for the funding that was supposed to be given out:deal
Here is a story on the Sandy Row issue ! Why are they not affiliated with the IABA and have they ever been ? Are they the only club not affiliated ? Does this mean there boxers dont compete in the All-Irelands and are they allowed compete in the Antrims and Ulsters if there not affiliated ? http://www.irishexaminer.com/archiv...no-punches-in-sandy-row-abuse-row-204941.html
as far as i am aware no club can enter boxers in any tournaments run by IABA if they are not affiliated as well as that i am unsure if they can even compete on club shows because most boxing clubs that i know of ther insurance comes via the IABA and dont think it would cover non affiliated clubs , personally i do dont know what the story in behind that club or happened in it ,, i also have never heard of or seen anyone from that club compete at anything at all
So if sandy row are not affiliated with AIBA are they affiliated with the british amateur association ? are they like an ultra loyalist club ? :huh
i dont know if there affiliated but there not listed on the IABA club list so i would say there probably not
