Thank you for this thread Ardy, I am full-blooded Irish but born and raised in the U.S., so it's nice to have a topic like this to see how the sport we love is doing in were my grandparents were born. Not too many ways to receive Irish Boxing news in Mid-Western United States lol.

 

Irish Traveller Martin Ward from Newcaslte, his brother Taylor has made his debut and looks the goods, here is a little clip of him winning his 2nd bout, he is only 18 and won a European Junior Gold fighting for England a few years ago .

I hope John Joe Nevin turns pro, he is a good boxers and could do well depending on how his style transfers to the pro game. Potential World champ I think.

He did very well in the WSB had a record of something like 8-1 and I thought he won the fight he supposedley "lost" !
