I think Katie made a good decision. I would not have complained if she pursued other interests outside of boxing but she still has a bright future in boxing. Perhaps another medal at Rio if she qualifies. As for Nevin maybe not too late to sign with Eddie hearn if there is an offer I think it would be best right now in terms of building a profile.

 

still think Rigo does enough just to win in fights, although i have been impressed by him but who wouldnt be. I think hes just short of the quality of Donaire, but sure we not fall out over it.

 

It's always good to see an Irish guy fighting for a world title and to have it on the undercard of a massive fight is amazing, but it's bad for the sport people like Hyland, who hasn't fought anyone close to a contender, gets a fight like this. All this does is encourage boxers to pad their record and wait for a big shot.

Lucero? He was in with Pac, Rocky Jaurez, Ponce De Leon and Litzau. He was completely out of his depth against them all and got absolutely banjoed in each fight and they were all at least 6 years before he fought Hyland.

I don't blame him for taking his shot when offered but having fought nobodies will probably count against him when it comes to the big stage.

 

Hyland wont get near another shot after this fight. He will get battered.

 

i do agree but ya have to take these shots when they come,,, i think he will be found out on the night as not being up to par,,, but as ya said its nice to see and irish man in a world title fight

Sort of "world title", it's only an interim "title". Still hope he does well and proves everybody wrong.
