great to hear it..have a blast!!!...you WILL!!:good but PLEASE don't trash our national anthem like those english *******s at the hatton/pbf fight in vegas!
Ardy, what can you tell me about that fight card in Boston around St. Paddy's. All the fighters are just beginning their careers, but do any of them have world class talent. I will be going to the DKM concert that weekend, which only can be enhanced by a night at the fights.
The Irish fans would never do that, we are by far a more mature and civilised nation than the British.
The Brits are unruly when theres more than 3 of them! And dangerous if its 3 to 1 advantage!! Says so in the history books.
Hate to hear this, but I read that the Macklin fight has been cancelled. His opponent had to drop out because of persomal business. Got to re-check this .
It looks like your right Mike, as there is mention of the Macklin fight on boxrec. Tough luck for young Macklin.
Hello ML, There is a possibility that an undefeated heavyweight called Scott Belshaw could be fighting that night. He is crude and has a lot to learn but is still only 22, so time is on his side. The two Hyland brothers are both undefeated and improving all the time. But to be honest ML I dont think any of them are future world champions. But I,m sure it will be an atmospheric night being so close to St Paddy's day. http://www.independent.ie/sport/other-sports/fighting-irish-ready-for-big-night-in-boston-1275676.html
Hey guys I live in Limerick and it isn't dangerous at all, there's just one or two no-go areas but apart from them its pretty much as safe as any other city. Im going to the fight tonight, six fights on the undercard so it should be a good night overall
CUBAN PEREZ ADDED TO LIMERICK UNDERCARD. According to boxrec, new pro Mike "The Rebel" Perez has been added to Brian Peters promotion tonight. Cuban exile Perez will fight Sandor Bolagh from Hungary. Hopefully RTE will show us a glimpse of the heavyweight that has caused quite a stir since arriving in Ireland only a few weeks ago.
there has to be more than a fair chance....that perez will be on the RTE broadcast.... mccloskeys on first
In all my life I've never been afraid when in Limerick(and that's been quite a lot) , places like Moyross and Southill you might want to avoid but even then they're made out to be worse than they are . I'd be more worried walking around Dublin at night than Limerick , and that's by a long long way .
Andy seems ok when he's creating space, and he can ping! The opponent shouldn't be in the same ring but was there long enough to expose Lee when in close. Seems Lee can extend at length but has difficulty in punching short, that might be a problen when he fights up in the division.
