I see Paddy Barnes has joined WSB with Milan, maybe you seen it but I missed it! Good move for Paddy, hope he makes a few bob. Will be easy at the weight but of course hard to get back down. Was anybody at the Stadium for the trials, I'd love to see opinions on Nolan-McLoughlin especially.
Kiko says he would like to avenge his loss to Carlos over at the scene, not sure when hopefully he still has the title when he plans it.
I was at the Stadium Matt, Willie was probably hard done by. It could have gone either way. Nolan clearly won first. Thought it might be level after second. Then Willie won the last... by that reckoning... Willie felt it was a robbery. Nolan punch output was probably down on his usual but the way he connects is eyecatching and you can see why the judges might favour that. He works in bursts and might have a good 10 seconds every minute where a few of those southpaw left hooks get through and influence the result. For most of Rds2&3 McLaughlin was on the offensive and if these boys ever fought 5 rounds, Willie would win, probably by stoppage. Also thought the Date-Hickey fight could have gone either way. Date took the first for me, middle round was evenly matched but Date had some nice moments, then Hickey took the third. Not surprised it was a split. I would've given it to Date by a gee hair.
I see Irish traveller boxer signed to matchroom Martin J Wards been shot hopefully he makes a good recoverey. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/es***-farm-shooting-gunman-loose-2231863
Fantastic result for Conrad Cummings in the WSB last night. He beat Cubans 2008 Olympic silver medalist Carlos Banteur. Here's the fight for anyone interest http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spyBAHFRk5I&feature=c4-overview&list=UUOX2-1ruDsgxJSOrZvScD9w
