Irish Boxing

Let me apologize in advance if this topic has been covered.
How do the Irish feel about American fighters calling themselves "Irish" as nicknames and for wearing trunks with the Irish flag etc. My Grandfather was born in Ireland and I was just courious I know people can wear what they want etc but just a random question.

 

I, for one, don't care either way!

 

Nor do I, most of the time it's to attract the attention of Irish American fans who've a similar background to them anyway so it's no big deal imo.

It'll **** off some over here though...
