    How good is Dee Walsh??

He seems to have slipped under the radar; number one because he took some time out from the game and number two because recent focus has been on the fighters involved in last weeks 3arena bill.

Tonight's result is not to be sneezed at IMO.

He's tall for a LMW and apparently skillful, fast and strong.

I've never seen him fight live though, so I'd be interested to hear from people who have..

Countdown! Katie Taylor Takes To The Ring Tomorrow Morning

The countdown to the Women’s World Championship final is officially on as Bray boxer and Irish champion Katie Taylor prepares to face the ultimate test on Monday morning.
The Irish boxer will go in to the ring early Monday morning (Irish time) and will go head-to-head with Azerbaijan’s Yana Allekseevana in the lightweight final.
Katie has had a bit of an unusual route to the final, having got a bye in the first round she then went on to overcome the challenges of Valeria Spicer and Mira Potkonen which set up a tantalizing quarter final bout with rival, Sofya Ochigava. However, the Russian boxer and world number two – who Katie defeated in the fight for gold in London 2012 – gave the Irish boxer a walkover for the quarter final on Friday morning.
This set up a semi-final showdown with China’s Jinhua Yin, who Katie faced off to early on Sunday morning. Coming off the back of an extra day’s rest thanks to the quarter-final walkover, Katie met a tough competitor in Yin. However, Katie secured her spot in the final on Monday as the Chinese boxer threw in the towel after the third round and Katie went through on a technical knock out.
Katie is now in line to pick up at least a silver medal from the championships, but will be hoping to secure her fifth world championship title.
The Bray boxer will have a tough test on Monday against Azerbaijan’s Allekseevana, and all eyes will be on her when she takes to the ring on Monday morning sometime after 5.45am. TG4 will be broadcasting the finals live from Jeju.

Great wins for Joe Ward and David Oliver Joyce in the APB last week over Oybek Mamazulunov (world number 2) and Domenico Valentino (former world champ) respectively.

Both guys now have records of 1 win & 1 loss.

Fifth edition of the show focuses on Katie Taylor's incredible fifth gold medal at the Worlds and hears from Zaur Antia, the man with huge responsibility for making it happen.

We've also heard from Tyson Fury ahead of the Chisora rematch and he talks about his ability to win a fight after getting knocked down hard, future fights at Croke Park, meeting an old rival and an astonishing refusal to sing for a packed train cart.

Apologies for the blatant plugs but this is Irish Boxing!

Just wondering how everyone sees Ormond-Flanaghan fight going?? Ormond is looking better than ever and has quality sparring in Jack Catterall over past couple weeks, I think a statement performance and late stoppage by Stephen

I expect Stephen to win, but if he does and then gets the Crawford fight what are his chances?
