Glad to have you back talking boxing, Fra!
Yes, Wazzen has a good track record for getting 'his' fighter home advantage, so you could be right about that. :good

Darren Barker went abroad and lost his middleweight title first defence. Do you think Andy does the same?

Actually you better hope the judges are British Fra - there is SOME chance of British judges appreciating Andys style of boxing. Did you see where 2 of the 3 US judges in his last fight gave ALL 5 completed rounds to his opponent- who wasnt a yank, either! Disgraceful.:dead :admin

Andy does not have a judge-friendly style.

Andy wasn't spectacular in his last fights before those vicious shots changed everything....think he's gonna be high on confidence and knows what he has in his ****nal. As the fight drags on and Andys still there then you can see him going for the KO! As for location it could yet go to Dublin? Maybe the Three Arena?

Andy is famous for his "come from behind" wins (McKewan, Jackson, Korobov) - and his "come from in front" loss - (Chavez jr).

The problem for him with BJS is that Billy Joe is good enough to get in front and stay in front.

i dont know if he is good enough to get in front... novice eubank left it too late or he would have beat suanders... i think suanders is too small for andy .... and will be hunted down an KOed:good

Don't make the mistake of reading too much into the last fight by either man. Eubank was much the bigger man, probably by 15lbs, and much more physical than Andy. Yet BJS handled him very well in the clinches, I thought.
To get a truer picture of Lee v BJS you have to consider the averaged-out performance level of Andy and BJS over several fights - at least their last 3 if not 5. Who comes out ahead if you do that? Be honest now....

    Happy New Year Dutchie.
    "Nobody!!"???

BJS Billy Joe is a marvellous boxer, beautiful skills.....what about Spike? CEJ? Ryder? Fletcher? Blackwell? Come on..several (possibly all- ok maybe not fletcher!) of those guys would beat Andy most days....:think

Granted he lacks size power, but his achievements and skills are al the more impresssive because of that.

Its Andy who just beat "nobody" - that guy Korobov had proved nothing as a pro - zero. He was living off past glories from years ago as an amateur ...and the judges still had him ahead of Andy.

Anyone else really looking forward to the amateur scene this year? Fair few Irish fighters in the WSB and the APB pro boxing, and then we have the Irish nationals shortly, then the Europeans and finally worlds. A lot of Olympic places to be decided this year and hopefully our talent shines through. Looking forward to it.
