I will answer it for him and most on here will agree I am fairly well qualified to do so. He signed a very good contract with goldenboy, link that with the fact roach co managed him should answer your question. Or to answer ur first question in one word, yes :good

Good post. I AM clueless at times - thats why I ask questions. I know I can be a bit of a wind-up merchant too but as the old saying goes 'many a true word is spoken in jest'. :thumbsup

So you are very well informed about JKs career, Brady eh?
    Good stuff.
One more question about Jamies career for you - this has baffled me for ages:
Was I imagining things or did I really see his father working Jamies corner during one of his fights in the USA?
This is amazing to me cos we all know how restricted travel to the US is these days (for most of us) -- so how in gods name did one of Irelands (if not Europes) biggest and most hardened and most high profile criminals get into the states?
And flagrantly WORK in full public view for all to see on TV there??
The guy had a list of convictions as long as your arm, including serious crimes like heroin dealing. I just cant get over that one. Was I mistaken? I dont think I was....it was Gerard "hatchet" Kavanagh I saw wasnt it? How did he get past US Customs & Immigration? Theres something wrong somewhere here....

Yes I am. Yes that was his dad in his corner and also In a fair few YouTube videos during his time in the wild card. While I am very well informed about Jamie's career I can't say my knowledge of the workings of US customs is up to much so that I can't answer. But that really doesn't have anything to do with Jamie's career. It what happens in the ring is what matters in boxing in my opinion :deal

I called him limited and I stand by that. He has lost and drawn against average fighters and has shown little improvement in 20 odd fights. He still gets hit easy, has little power and his chin doesn't seem the best either. And ive seen a lot of Jamie's fight and followed his career since he won that medal at the world youths. He is going to lost when he steps up agaij.

Do me a favour and pack up your silly little quotes and don't even start to talk about my politics. You know nothing about me or what I am involved in on national and community levels. If you want to argue boxing all well and good. You haven't a clue about anything else I do, including activism and politics, so you may park it there.

You have no idea how the world works let alone how the sports department in RTE operate. Unfortunately I know more than one person working out there and it ain't happening anytime soon. They aren't willing to spend money on boxing.

If UTV want to pay for the production of a Frampton card and then let RTE piggy back them for next to no cost for Montrose then we'll have it on our screens.

Until they have a proven winner they won't spend any money on it. You'd need a groundswell of support like there was for Dunne before the wheels will get in motion for that.

But, in the meantime, feel free to start a revolution from behind your keyboard there with loads of glib 2nd hand quotes that your French mate told you. Wolfie Smith would be proud of you.

Rather than slinging insults at me BamBam why don't you ask your "more than one" friends in RTE a few questions. Such as how much does an outside Broadcast Unit cost? I believe it's as high as €80k to get a few lads to go down the road with a camera? How is that?

In most case the man who pays the piper calls the tune. If I set up a TV company today and refuse to show boxing, there is eff all anyone can do about it. It's my private company, my money.

But RTE is publicly funded.....we pay and pay and still get nothing. RTE can't ignore public pressure if it is put on right. All I was saying is there may be a way to put some pressure on RTE.

Right now I can't think of it though...it's hard to think straight when you're rolling about laughing.....

Any chance we could get our own separate Irish Forum on here?

Replace the terminated Aussie Forum with an Irish one? Hmmmm?

Quillin is using Craig McKewan as a sparring partner for Andy. I don't rate Craig at all....he will be no help at all to Quillin IMO. But I think Quillin will win, quite possibly by blatantpoints robbery.

Yes, Fra it seems to be one thing after another. It's getting chipped away isn't it?
Take a look at the Aussie forum. You will see for yourself.
Definitely with the upsurge in Irish boxing there is sufficient demand for a separate Irish forum without a doubt.
