So you're "involved" but not committed" Fra? You know the difference between the two? A plate of Bacon and Eggs! ( the chicken is involved, ....the pig is committed!!) Dunno who the promoter is either. Quigley won again last night.
... thats just say i will be pushing leaflets through letterboxes come election time... or any other menial task they might ask of me... u have to walk b4 u run [ and i play to run some day]:good
The guy that Quigley stopped in the first last round night...in his previous fight he went 5 rounds with Falcao (one of the Brazilian brothers who won Bronze in London 2012). Only a minor point to note in the grand scheme of things...but still :bbb
Quillin's level? I guess he's 1 & 0. He lost to a roided up JCCjr and beat Matt K via tko , I could be generous and add Julian Jackson to that short list of "Quillin's level" but no point in coding ourselves now.
Korobov isnt Quilins level, though, is he? And he still "Won" every completed round over Andy according to 2 judges! (I know ..I know)!! Not very reassuring to say the least! Regarding Korobov - yes Andy nailed him with a beauty, but I counted something like 17 follow-up shots - all landed - and he STILL didnt have Matt down. My point is that, yes, Andy can land a bomb from time to time, but in general his overall punching power isnt great. Soooo ...for those claiming Andy will KO Quillin.....:-(
Quigley wasn't loading up on shots this time. Looks like he was relying on his hand speed to generate the power which is good. Nice accurate punching. He needs to step up now and work on his defence also. Between Cummings and Qugley the future for Irish boxing @160 looks bright.
I was just thinking of editing my post to make this very point. May as well include him too. (As people well know I personally never thought Andy would 'get there' - so who knows he may stick around a while yet. It seems the more I pick against him the better he does!)
Bold call here but Reilly may actually be the best of the lot! IMO the fashion in which he dismantled Darren O'Neill in last year's final would suggest that he may well have beaten Quigley (had he stayed amateur for those seniors). His speed and elusiveness are frightening :bbb
