Some result for Andy Lee. Not often a fighter retains his title 30 hours before the fight. Quillin only get down to 160.8lbs so Lee retains his world title regardless of the outcome.

Can you ever talk about anything without being self-righteous? We know little about Nevin's situation so dont go playing doctor phil yet. He might be going through a bad patch but you make it sound like he's bordering on a mental breakdown.

Honestly you'd think a man of your age would have more sense than to spout some of the nonsense you do on here mate, whether anonymously or not:-(

This weekends Irish boxing news is a case of the tale of two talent-squandering idiots.... Quillin and Nevin. Andy is one lucky boy...even if he loses he doesn't lose...takes a bit of the edge off the fight but now a summer showdown against bjs looks on. Andys big gamble has paid off.

Was wondering why Andys odds were slipping so much. 15/8, 2/1, 9/4 the last few days with paddypower. Shaddy world of boxing at play. Hopefully boxings true gentleman can put manners on them. C'mon the Irish.

The dirty side of boxing. Having the fight in his own backyard, being the favorite on his promoters card for a title he already vacated because he's afraid of GGG and Quillin comes in over weight. Useless ****. Hopefully they fine him to **** and Andy sparks him. Mon Andy!!

Talk about the Luck of the Irish. Everything is falling into place for Andy Lee. Who says nice guys finish last?

Icing on the cake would be if he beats Kid Duckalot.

Seeing how well Quillin is looking and how close he came to making the 160 there can be no doubt he did it deliberately. He looked perfectly filled out on the scales. No way did he make an honest effort to make 160. There was plenty of spare capacity to drop the last pound. What a plonker.
I presume this carry on from Quillin won't affect Andys purse in any way ?
He'll still get the full agreed amount?

Andy is getting 130k extra off PQ so doubt it was on purpose. Andy is laughing here extra money keeps the belt regardless and PQ goon to be drained. The iceing on the cake would be an Andy KO hopefully does the business now.

Yep I take your point. Quillin has always been a huge middleweight, and he is a year older too.
All I'm saying is ive seen plenty of gaunter-looking guys on the scales. I really question if this was tactical by Quillin.
If he can't make 160, what's left for him! 168? They'd murder him.
Hopefully Andy puts this clown out of his misery tonight!!

The biggest point here is Quillen always found it tough to make weight (he has previous) but hasnt had to do so for over 12 months,
His body as said is a year older and those last few pounds dont come off as easy as they did, miscalculation id say rather than a great conspiracy theory,
Still all that aside there is no way Quillen will want to fight tonight the encentive is completely gone for him now,
I always felt Andy had the beating of him and am just a bit more confident now,
