Mixed news from Italy. Steven Donnelly won his fight tonight but it was only by majority decision and therefore he can't qualify for Rio via WSB.

 

didn't watch the fight was he robbed of what should have been a ud?

i feel if he didnt get the sd he would have been able to force a box off with the Morrocan

i also could see conlon still quaifying, the russians have to go to ukraine and Butsenko is tough opposition for Nikitin. Also im sure the judging will be out for revenge after the ukrainians getting shafted in moscow earlier in the season

 

He definitely seems to think it should have been UD but I haven't saw the fight myself.

 

oh well, any his a great talent and has done himself proud and should still qualify or else turn pro.

if he had got that extra fight and didn't have visa issues thinfs could be so different

 

Amatuer boxing is corrupt as **** , couldnt blame any of them for turning over well worse than the pros, look what happened to joe Ward, kid should of won Gold in London and didnt even qualify coz of the back handers.

 

i actually think that was the biggest travesty that has ever happened to irish boxing Joe Ward not getting to the olympics he would have been heavy favorite for the gold

Tham staright , I watched that fight and he completley outboxed Meghonshev the fight wasnt even close thats the shame in the whole thing.

 

seen it too, that counter left in the last round when emkhontsev was getting dirty and trying to hit ward when they were meant to touch gloves was a thing of beauty
