Ok ok calm down! Obviously my original point, aimed at Fra, for him to think hard about it being "better" for him coming from Sterling-land the fight being in Eire, was a bit too subtle for Fra to pick up on! (Then you dived in...Dunno why you got involved Doug! ) Anyway wherever we come from on these islands we might have a new neighbour soon. Seems like the penny has dropped with Rigo that all the action at 122 is over here....soon Quigg and Frampton will have nowhere to "Hyde"!
I presumed.....and if I presumed wrong then I was wrong....that the issues with going, or not going, to limerick was based on a perceived reputation of it being stab city etc. so when he said he had no issues going there...I said I felt the same.
as long as the fight is in Ireland I will be there. Come to think of it if its in England i also be be there:bbb
Oh all right, now I get it. atsch Nah...nothing like that. :verysad Limerick people are mostly great people. When Fra was saying earlier ^ how it suited him the fight being in Limerick (presumeably cos of the strong Sterling) I was just letting him know that when it suits him he is glad to be from the UK!!! You know...Tadhg dha Thaoibh...... Just having a laugh, that's all. :thumbsup
didnt mean that for one moment pal... i said better for us [us as in irish boxing fans] that the fites in limerick... who mentioned sterling or euro... ur heads away with it... keep taking the tablets though :good btw i thought u were trying to bad mouth limerick for the same reasons as doug...
Not sure if the event would be big enough to justify using the Gaelic Grounds. Pretty sure it can hold over 50k since it was renovated, and then you'd have people on the pitch too. T****nd would probably be more in line with expectations
You and Doug need to wash out yere grubby little minds with soap, thinkingnastythingslikethat about Limerick ( and me!) Why would I be slagging off Limerick? Anyway if you do travel down for the fight, you will benefit exchange-wise from being a citizen of a strong stable democracy with a strong economy and strong currency coming to a corrupt broke-ass banana republic. In addition you will both get to see a scintillating display of boxing skill...from BJS.
No, I've never slagged off any particular part of the country. Be honest, it must have crossed your mind the fight being in Limerick rather than London is cheaper for you. Sure you did think of that, you'd be mad not to. Ok it's not the main reason you're happy it's in Limerick, but it does help dunnit?
anyway....(if no-one minds me going off topic from the bull****) tommy mccarthy...is he boxing again on the may 1st show at the red cow ? thats a hell of a hard division that lad is in...going to be hard to progress if he gets near european title level. was very impressed with him last time at the red cow...not just the ko...but how he was throughout the fight....i know it was low level opposition, but he did look something good to my eyes. whats the opinion here on him and how far you's think he'll go ?
Dont know when hes out again but I think his manager pat magee was looking to step up his opposition from here on in. he could be world class doug:thumbsup
SeeAndys next challenger billy Joe has won 2 euro-awards...."best fighter" and "best fight". Fair dues to him.
