Thats the trajedy - he isnt. (When sober). Case of 'instant psycho - just add booze' here I'm afraid. Of course you are right - he should have stayed amateur. As part of the high-performance squad he has someone to tell him where to go, what time to go there, what to do when he gets there etc etc etc. He was hand-held and spoon-fed every step of the way. Plus coming from his background he would have been funded from birth by 'other people' - (us taxpayers). All of which led us to where we are today, with him ill-prepared to paddle his own canoe in the big bad world. Throw in a chronic pre-disposition towards alcohol addiction - a major characteristic of his people, and you have a perfect recipe for disaster. Really none of this is any surprise.
Seems dead for the Irish boxers at the moment. Apart from Spike no one has anything lined up yet for the summer months. I am guessing that will change when Frampton gets a fight with a number of fighters on that bill. Also whats going on with Stephen Ormond I thought he would want to get back out again asap. Or is he having promoter problems?? I do hope that the Spike fight gets covered on Sky when they show the DeGale world title fight. It would be great for Spike to get a good preformance in opens up more fights be it against Macklin or any of the British Middleweights too.
You don't really know anything about John Joe's situation or whats going through his head though do you? You dont know the man personally. You're just speculating and being pompous and judgmental all in one go, as usual.
Nothing set in stone yet but Pajo Hyland and Sutcliffe Jnr have said they hope to o be out in June and Dunlop is running a show in the Devenish with Walsh, Tennyson and Hyland Jnr etc on June 6th
theres a show in belfast in june..... a show in Dublin in July... plus frampton is supposed to be out again in July... to be announced next week i think... things arent that bad:good
Why do I have to know whats going through his head? :huh Why do I have to know the man personally? :huh
With the Quigg fight at risk of being rendered worthless if Kiko beats Scott, and Kid Galahad banned, Lee injured, you must admit things could be rosier.
Pajo will be in New York, dunno about Sutcliffe (although he said that his most recent fight in the red cow will be his last. Probably will be on an undercard in England or on the MGM show
You're just sore after the election, Fra. I asked already - does anyone know the extent of Andy Lees injury?
election went ok... sinn fein vote stayed the same .... lost 1 seat because of the sdlp splitting the nationalist vote whereas the unionist were standing 1 candidate.... going on this trend if the unionist run 1 candidate in south belfast next time out ... dr alister will lose his seatgood
Interesting...Gerry Kelly slipped back a good bit though - I know he'd been closing the gap steadily over the years, until this one. :thumbsup
kellys vote increased... but yet again there was dodds run unopposed within unionism and the nationalists vote was split again.... there was also boundary changes which might have effected this result... but what probably is a worrying factor for sinn fein is they could and should have polled better in the republican areas of that constituency but support for the dissidents has risen so thats were at ...atm... we need to show these people that real politics can work or else things could get messy again :good
