Andy Lee has come out and said he's going to punish Saunders in the ring for what he said about Taylor and women in general. Good. Little bit of needle always helps
They had to do something to build the fight - and they probably are under orders to avoid the usual back and forth animosity thing, given their background and the tense situation in Limerick. It fell to Billy to be the one to throw in the hand-grenade. Not Andys style to do verbals at all. Fair play to Billy Joe - obviously tongue-in-cheek. Not serious. I like him - its hard not to - he tends to be refreshingly honest and open, like admitting GGG would murder him and CEJ on the same night. When Andy was interviewed about fighting GGG he spouted some lines about walking straight out to meet him head-on etc etc . Yeah, right Andy. Sure you would. No problem. Then again he might as well. Why prolong the agony?!
Nah - Im just doing like you do with me about the 'free state' and all that jazz - really Im just trying to stir up some debate about the fight. Do you honestly think he beats Billy Joe?
free state fcuker:twisted:..... yea its not only the irish boxing fans on here that thinks lee wins... the bookies have him favourite also:good
I believe he will win,I belive he will do enough in the opening four rounds to slow Billy Joe down in the 7 to 10 rounds and that is when Andy will catch up to him and either stop him or win by 2to3 points. Now you have said in the past billy joe saunders will beat Andy easily so nail the colours to the mast now,Do you still think that to be the case come Sept 19th and if so how do you see it going?
Youre a ruthless man, Puca. Ruthless. OK its a fair question...Well someday the time will come when Andys luck will run out, and the Hail Mary just doesnt happen for him. Provided Billy Joe turns up in shape I see him outboxing and outworking Andy to a wide points decision (although home advantage means the card will probably be closer than they should be). I respectfully disagree with you that Andy will 'do enough in the 1st 4 to slow Billy down' like you say he will. One of Andys main problems is low workrate/output. Now Im not saying Andy has NO chance - he has power (and the fellow southpaw will be there for the big right hook), size, home advantage, better lifestyle/discipline etc. But for me its the better boxer, BJS, on points. 8-4 (116-112) or something like that. Cheers. :good

According to Fat Dan Quigg-Donnaire is in the works for Manchester: Per manager Cameron Dunkin, deal in works for @Brandon_Rios1 to challenge @Timbradleyjr for his 147 title Nov. 7 on HBO, possibly at Forum. Manager Cameron Dunkin also told me deal also in works for @filipinoflash to go to Manchester to challenge @scottquigg Nov 21. Working on $. Hate to see Nonito steal Framptons thunder. He could easily ko Quigg - he hurts EVERYONE he fights ---->and blow it for Carl....
Ehhh, so what? How hard would I have to look for a gun attack in Dublin or Cork? Does that mean we should call off the All-Irelands?
Look mate -all Im saying here is that it has struck me (and probably you too) how 'tame' and 'bland' the build up and press conferences have been. Given the backgrounds of the 2 lads and the backgrounds of many of those involved in all the bloody feuding thats gone on in Limerick, I wouldnt be surprised if the 'authorities' in Limerick have instructed the boxers to tone it down in the build-up so as to avoid inflaming passions, ok? Whats so wrong with expressing that opinion? BJSs comments about women boxers strikes me as a 'alternative angle' to publicise it rather than the usual argy-bargy we see between the boxers in the run up to big fights. Alright?
BJS and his "background" has literally nothing to do with Limerick. He's a Romany gypsy, of which there are probably zero in limerick.
