    Cheers Dutchie.
A guy I know says that when he was buying tix the other day he asked and was told 21000 tix sold already???
I'm not saying it's gospel but he seems sure of what he was told by the ticket sellers....then again he was able to get 3 €125 tix??? Which kinda contradicts there being so many seats gone...I dunno...
I hope you're right about the result....I'd love to see Spike v Andy.
I also hope spike gets on the bill..

Joe Ward drew a hard Russian-never seems to get the breaks but should win. Don't see Casey in the draw? Conlon and Dean Walsh not too bad. Nolan has a good Turk and O'Neill meets Tamasauskas a good Lithuanian and then the top seed Russia's Tischenko just to get to the quarters! Gardiner meet a boxer from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the an experienced Croat.

Could someone tell me why in gods name are the Russians aloud send boxers in weights they have already qualified in and every other country isn't? It's completely unfair, joe ward could potentially lose to this russian who won't even get to go to this world championships and a worse fighter could end up up qualifying from Europe

It's a complete joke, the Russians they send could knock out some of the worlds top boxers eg ward and then they won't even get to go to the world championships. This will seriously weaken the Europeans that go to the world championship

Amateur boxing is a joke, how can it be one rule for Russia and a different rule for everyone else.

Apparently Russia's presence is due to them not ratifying their European Games qualifiers (as it was somewhat of a reserve team sent) for the World Championships

The team out in Bulgaria now is their first team.

Therefore, if Russia dominates in Bulgaria and wins a load of qualifying spots, would the qualifying spots earned by their B team at the Euro games be passed down to the Boxers who came 4th in Baku? (wouldn't any Irish lads anyway anyway)

It still seems unfair (Ward, O'Neill and potentially Nolan all face Russians early on that would not have been there if Russia did what all the other countries did).

Russia are the only country that are doing this.
