Obviously bit biased in my prediction plus didn't realise how good Chudinov was till seeing him up close. Unreal engine and jab was perfect he could never see it coming. Still Buglioni proved a lot of doubters wrong who said he has no chin and proved his power by dropping guy who has never been put down in his career albeit just after bell but both guys where still fighting and neither heard bell with roar of crowd. I taught two point deduction was harsh ref was just putting his hands to break after punch was landed. Hard to turn down world title against a guy with only 13 fights and who was beatable!! He's only 26 and will come again that fight is worth 5 in terms of experience good couple month breaks and couple 8 round fights and he come again. Groves and Murray turned down that world title fight and Buglioni had ***** to take it without seconds taught and didn't have one excuse after the fight took positives from it and will keep going.
I was just wondering when you'd have the gall to show your face on here again, Luke!! Seriously though you're a top man to come back after getting it wrong - any fool can come on and gloat after a big triumph. Fair dues. Of course he had to take the fight - he was right to take it as you say. My only point is that as you say he is only 26, he clearly wasnt up to it, yet the Collins' let him take a lot of unnecessary punishment for 12 rounds that can demoralise and damage a young fighter. I know he will have learned a lot from it too dont get me wrong, you are right about that no doubt. But they could have pulled him out when it was obvious he wasnt up to it - you know - a young guy ...he will "live to fight another day"..... and all that jazz. Boot hill is full of dead heroes, as they say...... The US 'colour' commentator and trainer (Virgil Hill?? ) was making this point during the recent Frampton-Gonzalez fight, that Gonzalez corner should maybe consider pulling him out around the half-way mark (and he had shown that he had the punch to hurt Carl - Bugs didnt even have that slim chance in his tool kit) Cheers:thumbsup
Isnt it going ahead this year Nov/Dec? Probably in London? Andy should have accepted Spikes challenge. Spike was up for it big-time. Now Spike has no opponent for Boston. Perfect time to get it on with Andy. Come on Andy - face up to it! :bbb
World champions cant face unproven boxers, they wouldn't make a bob out of it,Spike has a good bit to go before he lands a world title shot.
Spike O'Sullivan can **** right off. He's a journeyman who's best win is who? A life and death battle with Matthew Hall? Lee fought proper gatekeepers in Bryan Vera and John Jackson leading up to his world title shots, Spike last three opponents were ranked 442, 297, 514 in the world and he talking about fighting GGG anywhere :roflatsch. Maybe he should stfu and fight someone worth mentioning. He refused a fight with Eubank Jr because there were options. Hope that fight gets made because Eubank Jr would beat the **** out of him and we can put an end to these mongs talking like he's some sort of legitimate contender.
Andy is signed to fight his mandatory in BJS if he fought Spike like you say he would be in breach of his contract with Frank ******.
We know he is. But BJS turned down the fight several times and now, since they finally agreed to actually fight, there is more delays. Unless the contract is airtight andy probably could get out of it and fight Spike if he really wanted to. Andy has a very small window to make some money out of his title and times awastin'.
I've nothing against him personally. He seems like a nice fella actually. I don't like fighters unwilling to take any good fights and holding out for an undeserved pay day. It's bad for the sport.
If im not mistaken (and im not)this went to purse bids so the promoter owns this fight,World title or not Andy cant move unless he is allowed to and i think we all know that the promoter in question will not allow that, Personnaly i felt when his man pulled out Andy should have been given the option of a voluntary but this did not happen(unsurprisingly) Lets just hope it happens in december and get it over and done with once and for all, both can move on with their respective careers then, and i agree Spike is a great lad but not deserving of a world title as it stands,
I wish Andy would communicate a bit more with us, his fans - there are SOOOOO many new extra types of media available these days but we seem to be always in the dark about these guys. Same for Carl Frampton.
