Really? Would be very worrying if ward was tired after 2 rounds of his first fight. And it doesn't necessarily mean he has a glass chin, anyone can be hurt if hit flush, can't put muscles on chins

Yeah 12 rounds with an amateur style like his would be impossible to sustain. Although there's nothing wrong with being the perfect 3x3 fighter

I think he was just tired after getting hit with a body shot, and lets remember 3 rounds at that pace is only ever seen in the ams, pros are much much slower. Joe was brilliant today really put it on the Ukranian in the first round, and that left hook which knocked the gum sheild out was a peach.

That was one of the toughest fights he will have aswel, that lad is world youth champ and is an absolout bull.

McComb very unlucky wouldnt call it a robbery not much in it compared to Nolans fight which was a blatant robbery, he got caught with one or two big shots that probably cost it for him, he leaves his chin out very high which makes the shots he gets hit with worse than they are as his head snaps back. Classy boxer I reckon he will get to Rio.

Anybody see McComb there? Unlucky against Selimov again, he boxed brilliant throughout but caught by one or two eye catching shots in rounds one and two that more likely lost him the rounds in two of the judges scorecards. Ended up losing a SD 29-28, 29-28, 27-30!

I'd be suprised if he doesn't make it to the Olympics.

I'd say we could have a good few lads progressing to the olympics via the final couple of qualifying tournaments once you take alot of the big guns out of the equation.

True, Ireland are unlucky not to have all 7 still in the tournament. Nolan was robbed and Walsh/McComb could both have easily got the nod.

DON'T rule out Gary Cully in the upcoming seniors. McComb will not take him lightly!! (not to mention Bates)! Same goes for Moylette and Wayne Kelly at 64kg. And Donnelly/Hynes at 69kg! We have a lovely looking line up for the seniors..
