 Have you ever seen Spike fight or what, he's the very definition of average and one dimensional. He got schooled by Billy Joe Saunders and went life and death with Matthew Hall. He's not particularity quick, he doesn't have a great ring IQ, his biggest asset has always been a punch and thats only been proven vs Anthony Fitzgerald. Say what you want about Andy but he's beaten better fighters than Spike has and that alone makes him more entitled to thump his chest and brag about who he would beat and who he wouldn't.

He hasnt just stopped Anto in fairness.
Spike has about 5 consequetive early kos since he joined Murphys boxing. His recent form is good. I know the opposition was poor. But most of Andys wins were against poor opposition too, dont forget that. If Spike fights and beats CEJ we will know more about him. Lets wait and see and give the man his chance, ok?

Spike-CEJ IS a fight worth getting excited about - far more appealing than Andy-BJS IMO.

    ??? What the problem is????

    Definitive answer??? :huh

I dont think you understand what Im saying at all here. I dont think its all that complicated - so it the problem must be at your end.

Spike IS unproven. Thats a fact. He is a proven can-crusher but we simply dont know if he can deliver the goods at higher levels of the game.
Will his limitations - primarily last of speed, let him down against better class of opponents? - as happened against BJS.
But against a guy who is not a slick speed merchant a guy willing to engage, I do believe Spike is a threat. He is mentally and physically a very hard man IMO.
As I say we will know more if he beats CEJ.

Im sure more knowledgeable posters who really understand boxing will have no trouble with what I'm saying here.

So you're playing safe and backing the favourite? :verysad
Lacking conviction? Not very patriotic are we?

the truth is that any pick here is a long-shot. Both are unproven at top level so its a lottery who will win.

Unlike you Im willing to take a hit for my country  so Ill have to go the other way and back Spike to win. It'll be a war, for sure, but I think both men take a punch well so I say it will probably go the distance. Fantastic fight.
    Spike on points.

Much better fight than Andy-Billy Joe.

 Your talking complete and utter sh!te there mate and you know it. There will be absolutely no one who agrees with you on that one. BJS-Lee is a great 50-50 fight and CEJ-Spike is an entertaining mismatch. Spike has beaten no one and if that BJS fight tells us anything, its that he doesn't have the goods to reach the top level, we already know that.

If both fights were on at the same time and you could only see one which one would you watch?

For me its Spike-CEJ all the way. No question its a far more exciting fight.

If both fights take place I guarantee you I will be proven right. Fans will look back at Spikes fight with CEJ as a thriller and Andy-BJS as a boring spectacle.

Are ye seriously saying that the average fan would rather see a 25-punch-a- round stiff mechanical robotic guy who is just trying to land a big one (andy) versus a guy speeding around the perimeter all night (BJS), or would they rather see 2 guys who come to fight?

Anyone got anything to say about Eamonn O'Kane fight with Taureano Johnson Sat night? I'm a bit surprised by the lack of interest to be honest....
