One of the worst decisions i've seen tbh. That first round especially, he boxed perfectly and your man hardly threw anything and he lost it on all three cards. Baffled by that decision.
Yep - I agree he will lose. The best he can hope for is that his sheer akwardness (he has a horrible style) will give TJ some problems. Still though you'd expect a bit more interest from Irish boxing fans....:huh
O Reilly was so unlucky tonight cant beleive that he didnt get it. I dont know if we can appeal the decision and get them to rewatch the fight as if O Reilly does end up missing Rio in the long term he will be gutted. As for Michael Conlan the lad is a class act nearly **** myself when he got floored but he deserved to win Gold and hopefully come Rio he can repeat and win the gold medal it would be a great way to sign off from the ams and then sign a pro contract.
Terible about O'Reilly...Sounds like the same ol' crookery is alive and well in the amateur game.....:-(
Though Savon extremely unlucky there. He clearly won the 2nd and 3rd round after getting outworked in the First.
Well a year or so ago I read they decided to change the judging format away from the computer to the old fashioned 10-9 system,Human makes the call, Then in an act of genius at the same time made a rule that assured you could not appeal a judgement in anyway,
Im all my life encountering this - maybe its time for us - now that we are a strong boxing nation to speak out more and try to get something done about it. Its sickening. So unfair on guys like OReilly that get robbed.
