Ya the Scottish lad looks very big for the weight. I'd say he will hammer the Russian tomorrow, the Russian looked like he needed a wheelchair after that fight

Thats all well and good but its a bit late now.
Its a shame Team Frampton didnt do more to stop this from happening. Is there any way to stop tickets falling into the hands of 'middlemen'?
Given that they conceded home advantage, and agreed to travel to the challengers home town - Could they have done more to protect a decent allocation of seats (guaranteed 50% of sets) for Carls fans. Could they have insisted on this being done - and put it as a formal clause in the contract???

I really struggle to see how willie lost that one. The English fighter was extremely negative and willie was breaking through at will in the first two rounds with punches

In the 3rd willie didn't lead and it basically highlighted the English fighters inability to lead and be aggressive. And the English fight look about 5 niches taller than him

 

McGivern wins . Only saw the last two rounds he was getting the better of it. He was pretty negative though although the Russian wasn't forcing the actionenough , very good efensicely and great counter punching . Two in the finals so far. Should be 4 imo

 

Another close one Willie was up against it the height of that lad . Willie found it hard to get inside and land and when the other lad did land it was when Willie was rushing in. Thought Willie nicked but another close one. What about McGivern though that lad is pure class, just beat russian there. How slick is this lad and he only won the commonwealths at 56kg last month now he's beating Russians a weight over that and he could still make 56 handy supposedly . brilliant

 

Missed all the fights today but that's some result for McGivern, he's fighting up a weight from usual as well. I'll check out the rest of the fights now. What time is Nevin on?

 

Ya I taught willie won it. Ya McGivern looked amaizng ,has he entered the nationals? Hopefully nevin wins now I'm quiet confident in him

 

He looked class tbh willie was hard done by he should have won and so should joyce earlier. Nevin is on at 6-15

 

McGivern is a year younger aswel, unreal talent.

 

Aren't a few of the Irish lads on this team still underage next year ?

 

Just watched the Willie fight there, was close enough but thought he deserved the win.

 

Yeah McGivern, Nevin, and another lad Oliver MCarthy who is quality who NcGivern only beat on a split in the nationals then the lads who all done great at the world juniors earlier in the year. Next years team for World Youths will be stacked with talent.

 

Me too .the English guy was too negative imo and willie made the fight

 

Brilliant isn't nevin already going for seniors this year though? The depth of talent In irish boxing at the moment is insane
