About to stick it on now. I'm seriously buzzing after that Nevin fight, I think we've have a special talent on our hands.
:thumbsup I dont mean to be a pain (and I really SHOULD pay more attention to the youths - I know) but this ticket thing is effing outrageous. I'm livid about it......
http://www.irish-boxing.com/paddy-barnes-has-decided-not-to-defend-his-wsb-title-next-year/ Barnes not entering the wsb this year. Says the only team that is drafting 49kg fighters is usa and he says the usa will want to field there own boxer so no point of entering. Real shame and shows that ireland desperately need a wsb team before the next olympics. With the talent coming through its only right. I'd go to every fight and if a group of fans came together to pay to have a franchise I wouldn't mind putting some money forward either
Just watched the Joyce fight and tbh i've no complaints with the decision. The Russian was just a bit more accurate in the first two rounds. It was a close fight though and Joyce got better as the fight went on. Wasn't much between them. Thought Willie was very unlucky though.
Ya I taught willie was more unlucky it was bordering on robbery. The English fighter was so negative and despite his huge physical advantages wouldn't lead and couldn't fight on the front foot at all. If it was an Irish fighter fighting like that I'd be happy for the other guy to go through because he was the better fighter and more entertainjng

Fra, its even better, just IRELAND... IRELAND....BECAUSE; "Michael Nevin will be officially crowned European 2015 Youth champion in Kolobrezg, Poland today. The Portlaoise BC welter will receive a walkover after Azerbaijans Ismayil Huseynov withdrew with an injury. Nevin now has the unique distinction of winning European Schoolboy, European Junior and European Youth gold medals and hes still underage for Youth boxing next year. Nevin won four bouts in five days en route to the 69kg final, including a semi-final victory over Russias current AIBA World Youth champion Bibert Tumenov".
I'm dleeigted for him and he deserves it because his beaten the best in the competition but I really wanted to see him fight today and don't think he would have had any issues with this guy
