Check out his videos from yesterdays press conference on ifilm he seems fine. This will be an easy nights work IMO for Andy Billy is much shorter and has a smaller reach he should be a light middle IMO and Andy will catch him with big shots as he trys to jump in. Andy looking real sharp in a fee videos I've seen of him.

He has no cold at all! Panic over.

Mind you he does seem and sound very tired and 'flat' - black circles under his eyes too. Not in great form?

The problem facing Billy Joe is physical - he has neither size nor power.

The reason I pick him is because he is just sooooo much better that Andy in terms of boxing ability. Billy Joe is all wrong for Andy. The gulf in class is so wide I doubt Andy can win this. I feel Andy probably cant win a decision here. He has to score a ko. Big ask.

Billy Joe is hugely under appreciated. Beautiful boxer. Much better than Andy.

I don't think anyone with boxing knowledge under estimates BJS skill set he is brilliant boxer who throws combos aswell as any at the minute,BUT I do think people are under estimating Andys boxing ability,Remember he was one if yhe most talented and classy amateurs we ever had(both zaur and Billy w have said so)
Andys jab will be very important, once he establishes it he will control thr ring and BJS.
Looking at the last two rounds against eubank he didn't look comfortable when he got hit,so once the ping is gone from the combos I expect the bigger and better andy lee to take him out or take over enough to win a good points win,

    A couple of things Puca:
first off Andys amateur career was 10 years ago. Its largely irrelevant to the BJS fight. (remember when I pointed out before they fought that Matt Korobov has achieved nothing as a pro and was therefore no good, people brought up Korobovs' 'glorious' amateur career - well we all saw how that went didnt we!)

I know well-learned fundamentals will always stand to a boxer, but amateur boxing 10 + years ago was practically a different sport completely from pro-boxing.

Also I dont rate Andys jab. What jab? He doesn't have one! as a 6-2 stringbean he should have a great jab - should. In fact one of my main criticisms of Andy is his failure to develop a great jab. He has all the ingredients to have one.

Anyway we shall see in 2 days!

He had a good jab when he was with emanual Stewart. Seems a distant memory under booth though

Lads I wasnt trying to scare monger or anything with my comment about Andy having a cold lads, but I genuinely thought he sounded a bit blocked up and chesty before he starts a sentence (Interview available on off the ball podcast) Glad he sounds better on other interviews and seems ok, love Andy one of our nicest genuine sports people.

ok ok we forgive you.....this time!!!

Seriously though, while Andy doesnt have a cold, fair enough, he doesnt look or sound well to me. Maybe its just pre-fight aggression but he seems in bad form.

Andy was never a very 'physical' pressure-fighter, unlike say, CEJ Blackwell etc Also he has a low punch output. So he tends to not wear opponents down. Andy has been throwing approx 25 punches per round recently, so he is unlikely to tire anybody out with that!

The often-quoted examples of Korobov and Jackson could hardly be more different from Billy Joe. They were stiff slow-moving mechanical boxers who were there to be hit. There is little chance of Andy being able to reproduce what he did against these guys, on Saturday, with a slick speedster like Billy Joe.
