Fighting often at home is important, yes. But thats only part of the story though Luke. Sure its important to fight often, but these days you need more than that.
Compare and contrast Katie Taylor and Conor McGregor.
Look how long and hard Katie had to work to get any recognition - as against Conors meteoric rise to almost overnight fame.
(I wont get into the relative merits of boxing vs mma etc or Id only ruin my digestion for Christmas dinner tomorrow!!)

Bottom line: you need a gimmick: A GIMMICK. Some angle ...regrettably, it seems the cheaper and trashier the better - to appeal to the base instincts of the ever-lovin' Irish public - the 'lowest common denominator' as they say. Otherwise.....

    Sad but true.

But hey - cheer up its Christmas - the season of goodwill to all. All the best for the festive season and remember to get out for a small run after dinner tomorrow! :thumbsup

    And I called it.
And guess what again - I was proven right.
Just be a sport and accept that, cant you?
    Merry Christmas.

    Accept what?

You called it? So you knew BJS would need to pull a couple of knock downs out of his a.rse to win? You knew that was his only chance?

You said BJS would be too slick and skilful for Lee. That he would win a wide points victory by out boxing Lee. Remove those two knock downs from the equation and your wrong. The "superior boxer" needed knock downs to win the fight.

Get off your high horse, will ye? You demented old fool. Along with your Quillan v Jacobs prediction. You did NOT predict a Jacobs KO win. That wasn't a fight. Quillan got caught cold with the first real punch thrown.

And you NEVER said Eubank would beat Spike either. The f.uckin smugness out of you is disgusting. With the Quillan fight, you'd swear you never called a winner right before.

I don't think you know as much about boxing as you claim or think.

And don't give me that "I've been following boxing since before you were born" ****e either, cause it means f.uck all you smug c.unt.

A very Merry Christmas to you too, you geriatric f.uck! :hi:

    Crikey!

Gotta admit I WAS winding him up though, wasnt I?

Christmas is a very stressful time for people, I probably should've left him alone!

    Merry Christmas to all...:p

The Irish were always a divided people, Fra. Thats why you're better off away from us. Its just the way things are here. Why do you think we are so easily conquered and misled? :p

Thought it was a clear Moylette decision myself. He was class the first two rounds, worked the body well and landed harder, cleaner and more often. Walsh maybe won the third as Moylette took his foot off the gas a bit thinking he already had it in the bag. But it was an easy fight to score for me.

I thought the first round was hard to score - I felt Walsh blocked a lot of Moylettes punches that might have looked good from the back of the hall - looked to have landed.
But yeah - Moylettes fight for me. :thumbsup
