Great fight with so many variables, Power I believe O Kane can take Spikes power shots, but i also believe Spike may be the better boxer in this one, Stamina Both have looked out of their comfort zone after 5 rounds (okane even before that)in the past but O Kanes last fight he had a nightmare start and finished fairly well down the stretch, Mental durability Both coming off high profile losses, Spike took less punishement in his but O Kane came away with more admirers,How will they bounce back? Testicular fortitude Dont think either could ever be questioned about the lack of a pair, Trainers Contrasting personalities here the quiet seemingly shy Clareman verus the loud brash Dub, Pascal certainly has more high profile fights and fighters than Paddy but neither has seemed to get over the line as of yet at the higher level, Very interesting local fight,Would definetly attend just for this one alone.
I'm not sure it would be such a great fight. I'm not convinced o Kane is good enough to cope with spike to be honest.
Whilst i would favour spike aswell for this one,i think there is a tendancy to overestimate him from some quarters on here, Each time he has stepped up out of dometic level he has been found badly wanting, It think they have the abilitiy levels to make this an entertaining if somewhat messy fight,
I think spike will win this brawl, I use the word brawl because that is what it will be. Messy at times but entertaining
Spike doesn't overly impress me .......I just put him ahead of Eamonn, no offence to Eamonn. Neither are above domestic level but spike has a punch.... That's the difference. Both fall short when they step up. What might give O'Kane a chance here is his engine. It was a bit worrying the way Spike could only really actively engage for 3 rounds against Eubank. This is not to question the amazing courage Spike showed sticking it out for 4 more rounds during which he was basically a punch-bag. The loser of this wont have many options.
Because Donnelly has already been ratified by the iaba and aiba to go to the games so no place exists, We dont have a 64k through yet so Ray is entitled to go, Tough fight though
worth a shot though, I wonder if he applied for a place and contacted aiba and apb anyway its good more chance of qualifying another boxer, and I think he is better than walsh
its a big week for the pros here in Ireland with 2 shows in Dublin and 1 in Belfast ... trying 2 get 2 both the Dublin shows... so to watch luke on Friday and the main show on Saturday :good
Crikey Fra - if youre going to be spending all that much time in the Free State you might as well do a bit of canvassing! Your lot need every vote. Election will be day before Frampton-Quigg - remember you heard it here first. Never mind - hopefully a big win by Carl will soften the blow somewhat!
