Podge the fitzgearld long fight sounds amazing it is a pity that dolphil do not have a tv deal, i have also heard a lot about casey and ormond and have not been able to see them fight yet. Do dolphil plan on keeping there fighter's active and getting a tv deal? How did garcia look? The lightweight division is one of the best in ireland imo murray, kelly, ormand, ***an and mccdonagh.

    Lads,

Phew. I have just finished writing the report, or reports as I should say. The Long-Fitzgerald fight was such an epic that I could have written a novel. Should hopefully go up soon, along with a seperate report on the rest of the card. I just hope Cormac has the space for it!!!

And some more news coming up later on about Gary Hyde's show in Newcastle on February 28. The three Cubans, as well as Limerick's Willie Casey included. That's just the start of it. A few more names on too. And it looks like Mike Perez is really stepping up - Danny Williams' conqueror Albert Sosnowski is on the radar.

Fight report for Long-Fitzgerald up on Cormac's site, lads. Feedback would be appreciated. Did I go overboard? Or for those who were there, did I get it right? I was quite pleased with the way it came out, but one man's bread is another man's poison, correct?

Ive just read it. It sounded like a great fight.I enjoyed the article. One criticism I have with a lot of the internet boxing articles, is that at times they can be drab, simply telling the facts of the fight. You podge, will never be accused of that:D. You write with a flair and enthusiasm thats contagious.:yep

Thanks a lot fellas, I'd always be wary of making a show of myself by getting carried away in the writing. It really was that enjoyable though. To see the two lads, arms interlinked in the bar area after the fight, just brought it home that our sport has more class than most.

Nutter - I'd love to go to Craigavon next week, but I'll have to see how the finances are. I'm saving the cash for the Jamie Moore fight in March, but I'd love to get up to see how Billy Walsh gets on.

Albert Sosnowski???? If this fight does happen that soon, you can tell Hyde he is definately my favorite promoter. Talk about aggressive matchmaking... That's not a step up, that's flying over 100 steps!
