It will be interesting to see to see what Luke himself has to say. If last night was the best he can do then he needs to consider another line of work. He is a great guy, I was just furious last night watching him make a sideways bawls of such a great opportunity. All the work, all the effort and sacrifice by himself and those close to him .....then he gets in the ring, gets a rush of blood to the head and throws it all out the window. The question now is, in the cold light of day, did people see enough to still have hope of him being successful? Are his shortcomings fixable?
We wont know until he fights again.... but as Leighton says matchroom will want him back...but I don't want him to go back if that's the best he can do... I don't want him to become a punch bag for british prospects... hes better than that:good
what about macklin and rose next week... that's a good fite to look forward to... but is macklin past his best... he has looked poor lately:good
Both macklin and rose are sadly under appreciated by fans. Macklin in particular. Fantastic fighter and great guy.
Both Macklin and Rose are in the last chance saloon so a defeat for either will be hard to come back from so 1 will either retire. Shame as a Macklin v Lee fight should of been made years ago sadly never happend.
You might be a bit past your best yourself, Marty! Not too many of your picks are coming through lately! :thumbsup
Cheers Marty.. Well Matt hasnt looked so hot lately as Fra said - so any result is possible I suppose. Shame Macklin -Lee, Macklin-Barker etc never happened. His career has petered out since Sturm, really, sadly.....:huh
Is this fight at light middle? Is that where Macklin's fighting now? If so, a dust up with him and Spike wouldn't be a bad show.
I think its at middle.... macklin and spike headlining a show in Dublin or cork would be the ticket... its hard to say what macklin has left... he was brutal last time out:good
