Eamonn o Kane retires. Sensible man. Wish him all the best in whatever he does with the rest of his life. Now if only Andy lee was as wise....

Think Lee is in for a bad night if he gets in with Jacobs. Too sharp and explosive.

Jacobs is the guy who has 11 stoppages in a row. Lee got dropped twice by Saunders. Worried his ability to take a shot has diminished. Still, would give Lee a chance v any middleweight bar GGG. Just think, momentum wise, Jacobs is on the up a bit more. Great fight for NYC though.

This is a myth. Jacobs is not chinny. How exactly is he chinny?

No Fra that is a myth. Inexperience ...and a panicky ref ....cost him against Pirog. ( I know there was only ever going to be one winner and the stoppage would have come with seconds of him getting up anyway), but still.....

Against Mora he just got clipped ....no big deal.

Danny Jacobs is a big strong middle weight, skilful, hard hitting and brave, by far and away the best American middle in recent years. He is probably the second best in the world at 160. Andy would have absolutely no chance of beating him. Pointless fight that will just lead to Andy taking more unnecessary punishment. Besides, what has Andy done to deserve being put straight back in for a title?
What string of wins has he put together since losing to BJS?

    Agreed.

Gamble, though. Jacobs might have a worse chin than Korobov or even Jackson (the freaking Latin Snake did deckhim, after all) but Lee got them both with lucky punches in a very true sense, well on his way to suffering defeats to both. Jacobs is mostly sound defensively, even if the explosive counter from Pirog and the knockdown by Mora do leave a lasting impression - and quite a bit more skilled than Jackson. Probably at least on par with Korobov skill-wise, except Danny is more of a potent offensive threat. Look what he did to Quillin, against whom Lee went life and death. Jacobs can probably outbox Lee safely for several rounds if he minds his P's and Q's and has more than enough pop himself to hurt Lee along the way - although yes, Andy could always pull out another miracle if he lands big.

I see Luke Keeler is indeed angling for a third fight with Doran. Its a fight Id love to see. But in a way I just hope he doesnt get it too soon. He has a lot of adjustments to make if he is to correct all the flaws in his game - mainly defensive errors - that were exposed in his stoppage loss recently - more than can realistically be corrected in one or even two fights IMO.

So do go for it Luke - but get a few fights under your belt first. You need to give yourself the chance to put those adjustments into practice first.
If he faces Doran without correcting those fatal flaws the result will probably be another loss, im afraid.
