Does anyone know exactly who has the test results?
    Which lab conducted the test?
Which sports quango did they conduct the test on behalf of?

This is a small country....there is no confidentiality...somebody must know??
I'm baffled as to how they have kept it quiet this long actually.
So come on lads ...do some digging and find out.

    Question for amateur boxing exoerts.
When was the last time Barnes boxed competitively at light fly, under "Olympic" conditions....same day weigh in, in the ring 3 hours later etc?

Commonwealth games final over two years ago, everybody thought he was making weight fir his seven wsb fights but it has since come out that it had been sorted for him not to make weight and pay a fine each time,

Thanks to puca for clearing that up.

Marty it's as I suspected....a total shambles. We were totally led up the swannee about our " gold medal favourite" at light fly. Conned, pure and simple.
I'm amazed though that more people on here didn't pick up on this sooner. There are some real serious fans of the amateur game out there. Hiw did they miss this? Bloody hell!

The news from Rio just got worse. Our Rowers have beaten the boxers to a medal! Apparently poncy rich guys paddling around in boats is a sport....who knew eh? 😀

Far from two poncy rich lads!

I have nothing to do with the sport personally and I've very little interest in it but I know of a few people who partake and they'd be more or less working class!

Lads I was joking! I'm delighted for the cork brothers...rowing is one of the most gruelling sports there is. Evans won in the badminton too. I'm thrilled for them all. 😀

Whatever you may say about oreilly...he failed one rest one time...I hear he was tested 14 times in 30 months and passed them all. Bar this one. And HOW was he allowed go to Rio without a clean test? He was a very small offender in the great scheme of things. It was just a one time offence by one athlete though. A silly mistake by an immature youngster.

In many ways the Barnes weight management fiasco is for me the REAL "bad news" story of the Rio olympics. It indicates widespread systemic failure and incompetence and even a bit of crookery. It was forseeable and was likely preventable. Plus I feel cheated that I was so misled about our star boxer our "gold medal favourite" in a division it now appears he hadn't even boxed in for over 2 years!!! And by all accounts he struggled badly to make the weight even back then. This was disgraceful, in my opinion anyway. That's how I feel anyway...the rest of ye might not agree.

No complaints there,Irvine did seem to freeze in the first a bit but in fairness they did as well as they could against two very good boxers,
Two left and two real medal hopes,No over till the fat lady wobbles
