Hello nutter, here you go,it looks like a big turn out of boxers for these championships. ELITE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS COMMENCE http://m.rte.ie/sport/boxing/2009/0206/iaba1.html
SPINA DESTROYS GOKE http://www.fightnews.com/?p=3369 There's news of Irish-Americans on this card. Joe McCreedy and Sean Eklund [Micky Wards nephew]
Seniors off to a flyer. Great to see Alan Reynolds back in action! Pity there wasnt anyone for Paddy Barnes to fight - he is handed his third Irish title http://www.rte.ie/sport/boxing/2009/0206/iaba1.html
never heard of him til last week. I hear that he was a decent am and won the world military championship back in circa 2000 What can ya tell us about him nutter?
Hello Slap..., I can fill in some of the blanks. Michael Kelly was also Irish senior champ, he defeated Paul McCloskey that night[ a tragic night when two of Paul's cousins were killed in a road accident on the way to the finals].Kelly lost to McCloskey in the following years senior final, so he turned professional with Barry Hearn and trained with Gerry Storey in the Holy Family club, Belfast. He found it hard getting fights and although undefeated drifted away from the sport.Time is not on his side but it's good to see him return. GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE BOXERS IN CRAIGAVON TONIGHT [the main event should be special, in a sold out venue]
ardy are you going craigavon tonight...its a packed bill, full of talent...and i heard it was a full also...i hope peters takes note of this, that quality cards will always sell in the north...its about time we had more pro shows here im buzzing here as i write this...cant wait to watch some live boxing tonight
andy lee to fight antwun echols http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=5159&cat=boxer is this a step backwards for lee
Probably a lateral step from Willie Gibbs. Echols is 0-4-2 in his last six and has shown signs outward signs of neurological damage so far as I can see. Probably shouldn't even be fighting. I don't see how this moves Lee forward at all.
well why dont you stay up late this thursday and ask andy yourself? hes coming OnTheGrind this Thursday 1am GMT :smoke I was talking to him a little earlier about coming back to fight in thomand park in the summer he said nothing is official and its just people saying it would be a great venue for an Andy Lee fight.
I think this is an oppertunity for Lee to get some rounds in against some one that isint going to fold after taking a few shots. I believe Andy will be much more active this year than he was last year.
is it "Ray Moylette" or "Ray Moylett"? todays update - http//www.rte.ie/sport/boxing/2009/0207/iaba.html
I would love to, but **** man, Im a heavy headed **** if I dont get my snore time:dead but thats cool news about Lee.
