Timing is everything. Andy has taken time out as his wife is having a baby.said he will be back after September. Ideally after his new York bout he would have been a great chief undercard on the Burnett card in Belfast. That would have propelled him back toward top ten contention. As I said timing is everything
Puca I hate to break it to you but "timing" isn't everything -- boxing is everything. Fighting regularly is everything. You can't be semi-retired, dipping your toe in the water every year or so, and be successful. If Andy was serious about boxing he wouldn't be inactive and talking about things like pregnancies as an excuse for it. If that's how he feels at his age in this sport then He should stay retired. Otherwise bad things can happen.
Whisper it now whisper it but there are some crazy people in this world that actually believe that there may be more important things on this world to prioritise over boxing. The point I was making was that a high profile win after the comeback one would have propelled him back to title shot contention. 99 times out of 100 Andy would have done exactly but this one TIME he will not be,so I stand by my point of timing being very important.
Sutcliff against Leather next Saturday. This is a good fight on paper, although I don't know much about Leather. A win for Phil could push him towards a European title shot.
Besides maybe raw power does Sutcliffe have anything to offer above domestic Irish level? Not from what I've seen.
I've watched a few of Leathers fights on YouTube, he looks good at a certain level that is. What weaknesses do you see in him???
