I've seen Quigley (although he broke his hand) and Conlan, and I'm just not seeing it. I think they each peak out at high-prospect, pedestrian champ level, at best. What about Jono Carroll, Steve Collins Jr., Noel Murphy, Joe John Nevin, Con Sheehan? Anybody watched them? what's the report, should I invest the time
Too early to write off conlon. Quigley won't electrify the crowd but he is hard to beat. Noel Murphy could turn out to be one of our best prospect but no one is guaranteed a world title. Is nevin still alive?
Whats the story with Mike Perez did he not box the other night??If so any reason why? Is the fight with Mc Carthy still going ahead?
I don't no about tis... perez has been inactive... who has he been sparring... mcarthy could hammer him
Obviously Perez has a other of factors against him - big weight changes, age, long layout, Magomed etc...but he would have to have fallen apart completely and be literally in rigour morris condition in order to lose to the mccarthy I saw box in his last fight in fairness....I can't see it happening.
Hearing it's off....was it all just a spoof? Looks that way. Just as well for tommy physically but his credibility ....which was never too high to begin with...must be in tatters now....
Here's the latest, seems like team tommy saw the light in time to save tommy a beating...but at the cost of his reputation... http://www.irish-boxing.com/tommy-mccarthy-v-mike-perez-fight-off/
maybe Hearn can do something with Perez ... build him up as an attraction then get him a fight with bellew... McCarthy can come again align himself to w@rren or wee barry and get a rematch with atkins
