Calling all Irish boxing fans...is there anyone out there, ? over! Can anyone clarify the situation regarding keeler v cruise?
96-95 to Keeler. close fight with cruise finishing tbe stronger. i had said i felt the odds flatered luke and felt it would be closer than PP thought. i did have a few quid on mc Donagh beating collins.not sure who paddy was chatting to on that one. the rest of the card went according to plan with the (mostly) limited irish crew beating the euro journeymen
good wins for mcdonagh and our luke... whats your next plans luke.... that's two great wins in a row against solid opposition.... puts you on a good foundation for bigger honours... I think these irish title fites are the way forward for the small hall promotions in ireland
surprised nobody else mentioned it... but there was also a terrific showing by Ward in the in the final.... class performance.... if he could get truly motivated to train harder... he would be the best in the world
96-95 to Luke! Happy Luke won but.not the result I was hoping for.....He barely squeaked through there. Against cruise-level opposition he'd want to be doing better....a lot better...
I enjoyed the bill last night. Collins inexperienced showed, but there was no quit in him which is a big plus in his favor. keeler title fight was a close fought thing but I thought he did enough. Who should Keeler and McDonagh defend against? Some good match-ups to be made
I agree right hand went in third so just focused on the jab and got job done felt wider score than that but credit where due Cruise came in determined and fit made for good fight and took some good shots. Happy to get ten rounds under the belt great experience going full time boxing now and will be pushing on.
Sorry Luke, wasn't there so didn't know about the hand. Hope the hand heals quickly and perfectly. Glad you're using the 'ol trombone left hand more these days, you've obviously worked on it big time. The jab really is the corner stone of all successful boxers, in the good times it sets up the power shots...and in adversity (like you last night) it nicks valuable points and gets you over the line. Congrats on your first title!

http://www.irish-boxing.com/gobsmacked-darren-cruise-promises-rematch-ko-following-close-keeler-loss/ Cruise feels he beat keeler. He feels hard done by. I honestly don't think he has a case. If anything the scoring flattered him. What say ye all?
