Don't get me wrong, cruise is a very tasty boxer, no doubt. He landed some very textbook single shots on Luke at times, particularly clean left hooks in the early rounds. (Wake up call to Luke about some defensive improvements!) But no way did he do enough to be within one point of keeler at the finish.
Also when you factor in the hand problem Luke had for most of the fight you'd have to say a rematch would go to keeler 100%.....no great excitement there for a rematch I feel.

Don't worry about ritzy fitzy and kavanagh....find out about John joe Nevin - a boxer who unlike he other two really WAS a prospect. A complete muppet, but a REAL talent. What's happened to him?

Had career-saving eye surgery in September. Heard whispers of a return to Golden Boy a few months ago but nothing since

I have watched all 3 Conlans fights and i may just have well taped the first and rewatched it,
Opponent runs around the ring Conlan follows and doesnt look comfortable and misses a lot of shots,
Second round the body shots and/or lack of the opponents condition slow him down and in the third round Mick lands some good meaty body shots and the ref jumps in,
What is sombody of Conlans already huge experince learning in these bouts,Time for a step up or a tough little mexican opponent because only then will we see how very good Mick conlan is,

I agree. I guess his management feel he is not ready to be moved ahead...and they could be right. It's possible conlon isn't as good as the hype. He got a huge boost from being ripped off in the olympics, but it wasn't as one sided as people want to believe. I gave the Russian a share of the third round and people forget conlon got hit with some silly shots in that third round by a guy he'd beaten half to death in the previous two rounds. His pro fights performances haven't been great by any means either. Not convinced yet about Conlon.
