Well Carl is up soon....wonder what the opponent will do? What approach will he take. Carl will want to look good again after LSC. Could be a good fight.
dont think carl will be troubled in this one.then there will be a big overreaction, For me the biggest fight should be selby versus frampton. good 50/50 4 nations fight. not so sure the mc guigans fancy it though.
I have a thread in the British forum on this very topic. All those who comment pick Selby to beat Carl. Interesting. I think he is all wrong for Carl. As I've said I feel Carl is too small and stubby with the wrong style etc...he has a work rate that is too low output to compete at 126. Also Selby couldn't fill a scout hall. So if McGuigans are leery, I can't blame em.
Carl will win well, probably by stoppage and then the Mc Guigans will claim him to be the best pound for pound in the world, and wont go backwards and fight the likes of Selby,
Maybe but only a slight one..Frampton versus selby would fill any hall in the UK or Ireland regardless of what trash they talk about Selbys drawing power, Frampton is going to sell out a good size arena in belfast fighting a guy not many of us have really heard of such is his pulling power throw a known name like selby into the mix and a chance for Carl to become a 2 time champ and thats a recipe for a big full house, I dont think that they believe carl can beat selby,
But is there any evidence that the McGuigans ARE holding up this fight? Who's to say team Selby aren't the ones causing the hold up? Personally I don't rate Selby as a great boxer, but I do feel he is all wrong for Carl. If I was managing Carl, personally I would be inclined to steer him away from Selby. Selbys style and dimensions are all wrong for Carl. Nothing wrong with steering your boxer away from someone who's all wrong for him. Thats just looking after your boxer. That's a managers job.

Check out the record of the "undefeated" fighter Noel Murphy is fighting on the Broner-Garcia undercard! http://boxrec.com/boxer/663463
The dead arose and appeared to many! Limerickbox is alive! I wouldn't knock it though lb ...Murphy is a prospect to watch. Too early to get too excited, but he is worth watching.
That IS an awful lot of red on boxerec alright...only one guy on the opponents record has actually won a fight! Only thing I can think of is that maybe he didn't have any amateur fights, hence the poor standard?????
