Yeah, its a pretty undesirable situation. Id imagine the decision was taken by Sky, probably unwilling to bring the rig over to Belfast the night before Khan v Barrera.

Paddy, good interview with Andy Lee (appart from the dodgy phone line)... He seems like a top bloke, aswell as a good fighter. I for one think he's Irelands best fighter in most departments i.e technically, power, speed, and as paddy eluded to, he has a fantastic chin which must now give him confidence in future fights..
I just hope rte are clever enough to pick up the March 16th fights in the garden.

    cheers,

Thanks a million mate. Shame about the line dropping half way through the question be we got our answer in the end. Its probably one of the best shows we've had as regards fighter/fan interaction.

Hes definately destined for big things and i think hes shown that hes learned from the Vera fight

paddy I only listenend to part of the interview and it was good of andy to take time out , he seems agood interviewee and seems to be getting on well in detroit. Did you ask him about a bout in thomond park?
If anyone knows if there is any news on a bout there it would be great?

Agree entirely Paddy, i thought both Irish lads (lee and power)came across very well.I think by the end of th year Andy will be in all the sanctions top ten lists.
Power eluded too a prizefighter type tournament for our lightheavies and i would love to see this happen with the winner getting a shot at the irishtitle, someone should really pick up on this, sweeny, power, cresham, waldron, senior to start with.
Good luck to both on the New York bill a big night for Irish boxing to put itsself in the shop window and it would be an absolute disgrace if one of our stations didnt pick it up at the very least at radio level.

there will be at least four Sligo knackers in attendance.

I'd be happy with an early meet up cos I wanna see the whole card
