Likely you are right. Burnett didnt seem to be even bothered to be present for Tetes fight....never mind getting in there after the fight and personally challenging him etc etc ....just digest that for a second - one of the best in the world in your weightclass is boxing in your hometown...and you couldnt even be arsed attending at ringside to see him? What an attitude! Are these guys for real or what? Very disappointed with Burnett after that.

Well Douglas hardly won a round against Khurtsidze - though he was overwhelmed by AKs swarming style he was stopped prematurely IMO = on his feet and unhurt. So yes Spike might beat him.
Its the best chance of a step up fight Spike has had, he was shown up a bit by Saunders and Eubank, but is in with a decent shout here, Really is a **** or get off the pot fight though,
Spike must be about 33 by now, so it's unlikely he will turn into a world beater at this stage. But you're right , he needs to win this one to stay relevant on the fringes. A win here could set him up with a nice little earner against someone like Lemieux. Then spike could ride off into the sunset with his saddle bags bulging with loot. Granted he would probably be riding in the back of an ambulance,...but anyway...
