conlans lack of power could be his undoing... as in many other cases once a tough world class operator realizes he can walk through their opponent shots... then the outcome could be defeat for the light puncher
That’s true but the one thing Mick does have is amazing accuracy with his punches, this may help him as he moves through the ranks as I’m sure he will pick up techniques to help him sit down on his shots more in future fights, that coupled with his accuracy may just be enough to see him reach his full potential.
Katie Taylor had a bit of a slog versus a tough hardy opponent, Don’t believe in excuses but a very small ring,(has to be in that arena) and a very bad ref didn’t help her look good but she dug it out, showed glimpses of the skill she has and is still the world champ i felt the five point win was spot on the 8 point was too wide, Still on she goes hopefully a big night out in Dublin beckons

Has Luke left Paschal Collins? Am I reading it corectly - that he is now with Pete Taylor? Maybe Luke or someone who knows him could come on here and clarify.....hes been very quiet lately for sure....
Scratch that - I just have been behind the news lately obviously. Hope the move works out for Luke...and for Pete too. Both are nice guys.
What about spike tonight? Our best middleweight boxing on a huge international bill and no one is even commenting about it. I thought people on here were supposed to be Irish boxing fans?
Spike has over reached on a few occasions and been shown up but he always manages to get himself into the position where he gets these big fights and fair play to him, he is the ultimate gatekeeper, if you can beat him you will do good things if you cant you wont, simple as that, This fight however is the not as tough as Eubank or saunders and although not favoured it would not be a huge upset if he won tonight, Also as to him being our best middleweight i think Jason Quigley would have a lot to say about that
Great win for Spike! Tough tough fight against a guy with al the tools. Passion and power! If Andy Lee had that kind of passion he would still be champ and he'd be facing Lemieux tonight.
I cant wait to hear what Limerickbox has to say about Spikes win...... Luke Keeler must be very happy for his former stablemate. Apart from being fitter though Spike wasnt particularly better than we've seen him before. (Paschal Collins doesnt seem to 'improve' boxers does he? You can kind of see why Luke needed to leave and try something new......) If Spike had one or two more elements to his game he really would be formidable. Shame he is soooo one-dimensional. But lets enjoy him while we have him!
yea Collins isn't the best trainer but at least he is sticking at it.... Spike won't win a world title but I hope it can make some money before he hangs up his gloves
Carl Frampton being a bit unfair to Lee Selby here IMO. Saying the guy Selby beat wasnt world class but Selby couldnt finish him etc ......hello Carl - the last guy YOU fought wasnt top world ranked and you couldnt stop him either! Thats boxing...it happens. Carls' only bringing attention to his own lack of stoppages since moving to 126 - a bad move by Carl as I've always said. He aint stopping guys now like he was at 122. But he is right Warrington is a live 'dog versus Selby. http://www.irish-boxing.com/carl-frampton-feels-lee-selby-is-a-fading-force-at-featherweight/
Any help on this front, lads? Anybody wise to a stream or summat? https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/tj-doheny-vs-pipat-chaiporn.599078/
