Up to a point yes. Or up to a certain level of opponent, maybe. But Jacobs is just plain too good for spike isn't he?

Is it true that Burnett had problems with a brain scan in the past?

Shooting incident outside the National Stadium tonight after the Under18 finals. Rumours on social media that there's been one death.

no death but 2 shot one just a student goibg about his business.
Animals.dont get me wrong if they want to blow the **** out of0 themselves i have no bother with that but to do it at an event in which these young lads are trying to better themselves and maybe do something so they won't be involved in this type of gangland bull****.

    ok thanks for that.....
A lot of the under22 finals are on Irish boxers page of facebook.
We really have a huge amount of young talent coming through.
Dossen is quickly becoming me favourite amateur fighter he was class friday night.
Jordan Moore and Kevin Sheehy were very good aswell.
Paddy Donovan was in a scrappy bout but that was more to do with his opponents style than his skill and the 81k final Wallace and kennedy was worth the admission for anyone that was there.
Elites in 2 weeks should be very interesting with the glut of young talent coming in and the commonwealth team not supposed to be entering.

A lot of speculation Andy Lee is retiring. Sad if true.

Had a fine career which was nicely topped off with that world title.

I can imagine him getting in punditry

It all ended in a mess for him though...the collapse of the bjs fight here, then having to give up all the advantages, despite being champion and go to the challengers back yard. Then the fight itself. If only he'd put In a bit more of a push he'd have likely held onto the title. He only lost by a whisker. The fact he wasn't screaming for a rematch told me his heart just wasn't in it anymore. Hope he enjoys a healthy and happy life after boxing. Andy is one of the good guys, no doubt.

It's for the best Fra. He should be able to get lots of media work, hopefully. Be great to see him at big fights as a commentator. He is good at it.
